IN THE BEGINNING:
As many other transcendentalist and self healing movements, the Spiritualist movement began during the mid-eighteen hundreds, when the Fox sisters perceived a seemingly intelligent interaction with spiritual energies, in 1848. Modern Spiritualism then grew and spread throughout the United States and abroad as more and more people felt added value in their lives due to the results of their experiences with this line of belief.
Traditionally, the workings of Spiritualism have been based on science, spirit, philosophy and inspired mediumship or working with spiritual energy channels, in order to improve peoples lives and their understandings of life, light, love, inspiration and truth. This church and all that we do help promote and continue these traditions.

And where 21st Century Spiritualism fits into the Grand Scheme of Earth

As of the last Spiritual Transformation Period (Beginnings of Modern Spiritualism)
The Great Minds in the worlds of spirit have always watched over us, like a parent watches over a child. In the early days when Spiritualism was just beginning to come together, it was a time when the great minds knew that a time was coming upon the earth when there would be warfare and that many young people would be passing into the spirit world and that their loved ones would want to know where (and how) they are. And, so it was, in those early days that people across the world began to be inspired and to understand that they had gifts of mediumship, and through this gift of mediumship bridges were built between the two worlds (of the seen and unseen) that allowed many of those who had passed, through war, to be reunited with their loved ones. And from that time on, the cornerstone of Spiritualism has been the proving of the continuity of survival (of the soul and of life itself), that the human soul endures and goes on. But times change and the world has turned and also changed and we've come into the 21st century, time of technology, and, so it is that Spiritualism is having to evolve and change with the times.
Although I feel that proving the continuity of life (through death's doorway) is still a very important part of Spiritualism, it is that individuals, particularly young people coming up are aware of their own spiritual heritage and that they are to be made aware that each of them are co-creators , so that what they realize that what they do here upon the earth does effect this life, but also the life that is yet to come. So I believe that the Great Minds are steering us to reach out to those in the physical vibration of life and to help them realize the spiritual value of themselves so that they may understand the power that resides within them; that they have the ability to access this power and thus have the ability to make great changes upon this earth.
We are moving into 2012 and of course a time when the Mayan calendar is coming to its close, so that for many people there is the concern that this is "the end of time" and so there are many people that will be moving in that frame of thought. But, for those of us that are aware of these changes , we recognize that this is the end of a calendar, a time frame, but also the beginning of a new time frame, a new calendar, a new set of events. 2012
We're going to see, as we come into 2012, a time of uniting forces where they are coming together, where people are looking to unite, people looking to come together, to integrate and belong and to be a part of a larger community. Thus, we're going through a major shakeup, both economically and spiritually. But if we look back through the history of mankind, there's always been times of great unrest and turbulence before we have moved into better times. And so it is that we are going through what could be called a spiritual revolution, a revolution of the soul , a time of quickening, so that many people are going to become aware of their soul's path and more aware of which direction they need to gravitate and move toward.
As we move further into this 21st Century
So it is that there is going to be a great need for teachers, mediators and those to assist these souls, young and old, to find the place of where they need to be.
Editor's, note: And this is why this church was formed in California and moved to Arizona. The above is an under painting of where this church is and how it fits in to the greater scheme of universal creativity and progression.
However, we have roots in Gnosticism (as did Ethel & Jack Rowe), which was another Major train of Christian thought, supported by Thomas, Mary Magdalene, Phillip, Jesus' Brother James and Jesus' himself, in his days and times on earth. However, Paul and Peter brought the ideas if inner knowing and growth to the masses and along the way put the emphasis on the external "realities" ... despite Jesus' words about "The Kingdom is within". Thus, we work more with the inner being ... which colors and even creates what is and how we perceive our external realities.
More recently, our spiritual roots touched into the Christian Mysticism of Sweedenbourg and the Transcendentalist movement in the United States, which has roots in India (where Jesus was in those "missing years") and with the French and English philosophers that inspired the formation and settlement of these United States of America in the 1600s and 1700s.

We humans may more easily perceive certain spirit (or quantum) energies in their shapes or forms as people, because we are people ... it's a matter of attunement. Often, we call these perceptions "ghosts" or "apparitions". Ghosts are often sensed as "residual energy", left behind by a human being that experienced an emotionally important (or traumatic) situation or event, thereby generating great amount of electromagnetic energy in the process.
According to Newton's Laws of Physics, energy may not be created or destroyed, but it always radiates and "impresses" (leaves an impression) on the world, in place and/or time. Some call the energy impression that is left "residual energy" or "quantum memory", which can reveal what was, to other people who are in that place where that event took place. So, even though the people and situations would seem to be lost to the "past", in spiritual and quantum domains, there is no past, present or future; what is just IS.
So, even if we try to constrict all events in our lives to our linear concepts of time and space, there still is such a thing as sensing the past (or future), plus "dimensional bleed through", from other dimensional constructs where things may not be totally linear.

We all know about our five outer senses. What we have not been taught is that they all spring from our Spiritual Biology - the unseen spiritual energy that makes our physical biology and its processes possible ... that Quantum Physics is now investigating.
So, as individuals in our circles work to explore the reality of spirit and develop intuition, they begin to explore their inner senses of perception, understanding and knowing. These inner senses enable one to perceive reality as it exists independently of the physical world. In our circles, we encourage the understanding, development and use of these Inner Senses.
Learning about Psychological Time also enables one to find an easy route of access from the inner world to the outer and back again, even though you do not use it as such. With practice, one may even "time travel", where within the unity of time, space, love and grace, you may find that all divisions are illusions with purpose. This discovery may lead to the realization of earth within heaven and thus, "Heaven on Earth".

Spiritualism is a way of life combining philosophy, science, and religion. As it covers the spectrum of life, one may need a certain amount of meditation or contemplation to understand it. Though it is hard to define with certainty, many Spiritualists agree on the following principles:
1. The Presence and Unity of God and Spirit throughout all Creation.
2. Respect for the individuality of each soul as a spark of God.
3. Connection of souls and humanity; thus the brotherhood of humanity with all creation.
4. Communion of people, spirits, angels, guides and God.
5. Life everlasting in the continuous existence of the soul.
6. Personal responsibility of each soul; for its own expression, experience and growth.
7. The balancing of all things through the eternal and unbounded progression of every soul.
A Brief History of Spiritualism
The recognition of and belief in Spirit, spirits and souls has roots deep in history and even beyond the written word. Thus, it transcends all religions, for Spirit is in its essence is like "Stem Cells" in the physical world. So, all religions were formed out of the universal energy of "Spirit Cells", each differentiating and grouping into a unique representation of its concept of perfection in finite form. (God is multi-faceted)
Modern Spiritualism started in the U.S., in New York with "tappings" that the Fox sisters began to work with in 1848. The study of spirit connections and mediumship then migrated to Britain where Spiritualism flourishes today. Of course there have been many famous and not so famous people involved with this movement such as Sweedenbourg, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Dr. James M. Peebles.

Thus, the English people have loved Circles for many millennia; including, Wooden Circles, Stone Circles, Traffic Circles and even Spirit Circles. You Are Divine Life, Light and Love
All of humanity was created as a spark of divinity, divinely inspired as a part of All-That-IS; never apart from, so always a part of divinity and able to light the world.
We Spiritualists believe in Everlasting Life and the survival of the personality after so called death. Thus, death is but a doorway or a birth into the next, new, expanded existence. As the Universe expands, so does the Soul.
The human being is an expression of divine love operating on many levels. The physical body that we see is but one of these energy domains. Thus this body exists, in concert with spiritual, mental, emotional, and several other bodies or energy vibrational patterns. During what we call "life", a silver cord connects the physical with the spiritual, allowing love and chi to flow to humanity. At ''death'' that cord is cut, thus releasing the soul, to be born into a greater awareness of spirit.
And, so it is at physical birth, a baby that was joined to its mother for nourishment by a cord must be cut loose so that the new born child may develop to its greatest potential in its new life. Thus, the cutting of any cord only guarantees a graduation into a new more expansive life.
We are All already Spiritual
We don't have to wait until death to become spirit, for we are already spirits, manifesting through the flesh, much as The Master of Love did. This fleshy body is our vehicle, or space suit, made especially for the learning experiences we have chosen to learn in this school called Earth. As a university is composed of many schools, the Universe also has many opportunities for learning, and Earth is but one school among many in the multi-universes. Thus there is no need to fear death, for we are all on a journey, conceived in love, within life everlasting.
You Create Your Own Life
As we are all made in the image of Creator we too are creators, forming our lives according to what we believe or dis-believe. So, if we choose to see it that way, we are in the midst of heaven, as we use our light and love. Heaven and hell are but states of focusing the mind or emotion, not geographical locations or ending points. So, in the here and now, we have a God-given right and need to make choices in our life; so we may create a heaven or a hell to our liking.
So, in truth there is no hell where inhabitants are condemned for eternity. For, once self realization and self acceptance dawns, the individual is ready to advance with the help of enlightened spiritual beings that are always close by and ready to help. God is Love and love is energy, thus love is in all and formed all. So, these beings come from the basic energy of the universe, which is love. Some have lived on earth before so they understand our situations. Your loved ones are part of this group, and may be visited within your dreams and visions. So there is much more to life than meets the physical eye.
Mystical Revelations
Everything in the universe works according to Natural Law: of communication, loving allowance, and self response-ability. So when one understands these things, ''supernatural'' phenomena become super-natural and thus are seen as super but normal. So those Psychics or Mediums you have seen who seem to sense ''probabilities'' in the past or future are using natural law, natural energies and natural senses, just as scientists who use technologies, tools and ''probabilities'' to predict with.
God is not a man upon a cloud, but is instead the grand spirit of universal and unbounded love and creativity, including both male and female principles as well as some that are neither! To give a name to or a picture of God-Goddess only limits our perception of want is infinitely possible. Thus, our spiritual teachers have said: ''In God all things are possible''.
We are all sons and daughters of the most high. And our earthly Masters and spiritual teachers have shown us, by their example, some of what is possible. This was the promise of the Great Teacher and Master of Love; Jesus, "you may do all that I do and even more ..." .

What is a Spiritual Presentation?
A Spiritual Presentation is a presentation made by a spiritual person, with spiritual intent; whether they are Spiritualists or not. Such a presentation would usually be based on the premise that all of humanity was created as a spark of divinity, divinely inspired as a part of All-That-IS; thus one can never be apart from that heritage.
Topics may include anything in God?s Creation. And since Spiritualism combines science and religion, all sides of most issues need to be considered.

Would you like to join a Spiritual Discussion Group?
In a Spiritual Discussion Group, though there is usually a leader, all opinions are considered valid within their own context. Thus individuals are encouraged to voice and listen to all opinions so that they may grow spiritually by making new, more rewarding, life fulfilling choices in their lives. Even Adam and Eve had choices!

What are Spiritual Development Circles?

What is a Spiritual Healing Session?
Spiritualist Healing is a form of Mediumship or channeling that involves techniques of directing the healing energy of Ki/Chi/Prana/Love from higher sources to the client. The healer uses his or her mind and hands to direct these energies to balance energies that in turn repair damaged or dis-eased beliefs, thinking and tissue. As each person has the ability to accept or reject these energies, all or part of the client?s good health may be restored.
