WHO OR WHAT IS THE "CHRIST"?
Christ is not Jesus' last name. However, when the early books of what was to become the protoorthodox Bible were translated to, or written in, Greek, the translation for the word for the Jewish word "Messiah" was "Christ". Thus, Jesus became The Christ.
Messiah is the English translation of a Modern Hebrew term "Mashiah", Tiberian term "Māšîăḥ", Aramaic "Məšīḥaʼ " and in Arabic, "Masih". All of these terms mean "messenger" from God or "anointed one", sometimes transliterated as "Mashiach", designating a revered person such as a teacher, king, rabii, High Priest or queen. In many ancient cultures, these people were traditionally anointed with holy anointing oil as described in Exodus 30:22-25, though the term was not applied exclusively to Jewish kings; for even in the Hebrew Bible, Cyrus the great, king of Persia, is referred to as a messiah. However, even in our times, Queen Elizabeth of England was annointed with oil as part of her coronation ceremony.

BIRTH OF THE CHRIST CONSCIOUSNESS
It all begins within you, me and each one of us!
As we are ONE, Jesus has told us "I am with you, always". In our hearts there is a common thread of Life, Light and Love that binds us. Thus where two or more are gathered, there is love, companionship and the light of each one's Christedness; the healing light of love that exists within each one of our hearts.
Today, you are the awakening Christ, today, now, this eternal energy did not die 2000 years ago. He, too, like you, were born in the flesh as a baby, but he trusted in the cosmic creative forces and powers of the universe that we call "God". You may do the same, when you are ready and know your oneness with All-That-Is.
Thus, he and we are here, in physicality, to express all of Who We Truly Are, from the inside out, to express the divinity that we each are, from our hearts and souls.
"I am not far from you at all. I, your guides, angels and departed loved ones are all as close as your very own breath and you can know of any one or all of us as you open to the possibilities of love, life, light, inspiration and the truth that you are part of God, all Creation and All-That-Is and can never be separate! For God is One!
There is only one universe, but within it there are many expressions of the infinite, eternal, immortal and universal ONE. Thus it has been quoted, 'In my Father's house are many mansions.' "

QUESTION:
When are the churches going to take Jesus down off the cross to let the light of Christ live in the hearts of their people? When will they take him down off the pedestal they have placed him on, so that they no longer have to worship him as separate from themselves.
He is not above us, for he is our elder brother, no different than us, but a shining example of what we may become Thus, Jesus is not our Savior, but he lives on as an example to illustrate the love and compassion we each have within us; if we would only let it out and not hide our light under a bushel basket.
It is time for the Christ Light within each one of us to come out of its dormancy, to come alive and be reborn among us, in our hearts. This is what the "second coming" is all about, as we take in the energy that Jesus embodied as a part of who we are, as part of the family of humanity, knowing that each one of us is One with Him and One with All Life.

THE CHRIST ENERGY

What is that? One source says:
"There were three men whose lives became confused in history and merged, and whose composite history became known as the life of Christ. . . . Each was highly gifted psychically, knew of his role, and accepted it willingly. The three men were a part of one entity (spiritual energy), gaining physical existence in one time. They were not born on the same date, however. There are reasons why the entity did not return as one person. For one thing, the full consciousness of an entity would be too strong for one physical vehicle. For another, the entity wanted a more diversified environment than could otherwise be provided.
"The entity was born once as John the Baptist, and then he was born in two other forms. One of these contained the personality that most stories refer to as Jesus or The Christ . ... Paul was also a part of this holy trinity as God and spirit came to earth. And, as all of us are connected, there was constant communication between these three portions of this one entity, though they were born and buried at different dates.
The human race called up these personalities from its own psychic bank, from the pool of individualized consciousness that was available to it so that we may learn of and experience life in a higher level.."
