The Mystical Spiritualist Church is the Living Legacy of Rev. John & Martine Kohlenberger, and is the result of centuries of planning and life situations between these two souls.
Below are a few photos sketching the pre-history of the energies that brought this church into reality.

HOW DID THIS CHURCH COME ABOUT?
We believe in a natural ability to experience interactions with God, through intuition, feelings, dreams, mediumship and channeling, just like in the Old Testament. God speaks to us in many ways, so all of these and other expressions may help us find our own personal guidance and relationship to All-That-IS.
As Ethel and Jack got to know us, I was invited to be a speaker in their church. One particular evening, as I talked of this Infinite God Spirit, I spoke these words from my heart: “God is not just a man sitting on a cloud someplace; He lives in each one of our hearts!” Ethel later related to Martine that she had to “think about that.” Eventually, Ethel invited me to become one of the ministers in her church.
After both Jack and then Ethel graduated to their next dimensional realities, politics and egos became an issue in their former church This often happens in organizations, including the religious kind. However, Martine and I believed that a church, especially one having to do with the heart, God and Spirit, should be about nourishing people, not the personal power of a single leader. It was time for us to move on from that church.
Other people in the church felt the same way that we did, so together, we formed a new church; calling it the Mystical Spiritualist Church. My inspiration for this move was a phrase I heard during meditation in 1971 after reading an article that debated whether God is dead or was God just hiding somewhere. The phrase was, “GOD IS Alive and Hiding in Eachoneofus.” Is this the answer to the debate? If so, where is this?
It took some time for me to realize that this meant, “GOD IS ALIVE and hiding within each one of us.” The idea for this new church was that it would look to the future rather than being stuck in the past. This would be a church of the living based on the love in our hearts rather than a church based on some dusty old book written by people long dead.
Within six months, we incorporated, received IRS approval as a non-profit corporation, for public benefit and found a place to rent to hold our services in Newport Beach, CA.. Together, we opened our doors and hearts to the public on the morning of August 5th, 2001, six years after Martine and I were married. Before opening our church, a medium had told me, “Build it and they will come” and sure enough, we had 16 people at our first service.
Five years later, Martine and I moved to Arizona and as the nucleus we had left behind in California had trouble keeping the church alive, several of them came to Arizona to convince us to open the church in Arizona, along with creating the website: www.MysticalSpiritualistChurch.org.
On August 5th, 2007, we had 18 people come to our first Arizona service in the living room of our new home. A month later, we met in a public space to be used for our future services. Our Arizona church has moved its meeting location several times and we still rent space, practicing the idea that a church is more about the people than the building.

THE PHOTO STORY - BELOW:
LINE 1:
These two souls came from the stars (the Pleiades nebula is shown). Later on, thy two souls lived in Biblical times, though not close at the time, they knew many of those mentioned in the Bible. Then, in medieval France, as Sister Marie Martinez, Martine lived at Lourdes, France, where she was an artist and a healer.
LINE 2:
It was upon the shores of France, near Marseilles and Saint Maries de Mer, that John was found contemplating the value and meanings of life, love and death as he saw a star fish upon the beach. John was later incarnated upon the American continent as an Indian Shaman. Then, John's Grandfather was ordained in a German Methodist Episcopal church in 1889, coming to the USA around the turn of the century and opening a church in Santa Cruse California (J. W. Kohlenberger is on the right in the photo). He later moved to Anaheim CA and had a church there, near what is now La Palma Park.
Interestingly, after meeting Martine, John started his Ministry in the early 1990s about a mile away.
LINE 3:
The picture of Revs. John and Martine was taken at Glastonbury England where John was once a Cardinal and knew (without education) some of the history there. The next is of an Igliese next to the Hotel Sur Loire in France in the year 2000. Note the purple "spirit" traces running through the picture. And finally, John was lead to this book after Martine's Graduation out of her body.
Indeed, the formation and continuance of this church is and was a part of Their Soul's Plans!

This is the story of the growth and evolution of human kind, our religions, sciences and arts!

PREFACE
Love is a path and a quantum process of spirituality that has existed before time was, and continues forever beyond any bounds of time or space, thus knitting the tapestry of life together as one. Isn't this grand? And, we are each and all a part of this!!!
The story of these two souls began eons ago. These two have always worked together, sharing the common interest and understanding that all of humanity comes from a divine origin and a divine destiny, thus leading humanity as a whole, whether consciously or unconsciously, on a spiritual quest or journey. Thus both, the male and the female, are divine in their nature.
Many people tend to speak of the physical world and the spiritual world as if they are two separate entities. However, these two souls and thus this book, is being presented in such a manner as to be revealing the unity of these worlds, that has often been called the "Unity of God-Goddess". However, within the greater reality of All-That-Is, these may be conceived of as reflections within the infinite field of divine conscious awareness which lead to multiple worlds within many multiverses, all of which coexist within and beyond our modern cosmological framework of a time-space continuum.
This is now a modern analogy for what the man Jesus described as, "In my Father's house are many mansions".
And so, this school called earth is where a portion of our soul essence has come, for now, to be in this lower vibration that is within an infinite range of vibrations manifesting in a myriad of forms. This school exists as part of a College within the greater Univers-ity of higher life, learning, love and laughter, so that we may have our experiences and the emotions they produce, so that our human energies enrich all of the electromagnetic and gravitational vibrations of the whole so that all its parts may be raised in vibration. This educational experience raises all vibrations throughout the multiverses and thus inspire greater wisdom, building greater and greater love throughout All-That-Is. And, as there is no time or space in many of these realms, light, life and love are nourished throughout whatever was and ever shall be.
It is hoped that this love story gives the reader a greater feeling of your part in this wondrous loving creation, called by such names as LIFE, LIGHT, LOVE or GOD, as you are a part of it and it is a part of who you are; in action, body, mind, feelings, soul and beyond any boundaries or judgments.

A Note from Brother John - Webmaster:
As I finished putting this collage together at midnight (8/28/2013) I felt Martine's "presence", as if she was looking over my shoulder the whole time and helping me select "just the right pictures".
You see, love being not of this world, but in this world, is eternal. So, what moves on in death is the physical vehicle (body) for us to feel that love from, for and to share with. However, in that process it seems as if your beloved has moved to a foreign country, somehow separate from you. But, even though you may not be able to come together physically, at a picnic or a party, or use the telephone to call them and talk. Hpowever, what ever occurs, you are still connected, together. For in truth and in many contexts, there is no separation, ever, not even in death. In this way everything and everybody is always connected and perfect. There is nothing that is not affected by each other. Thus, we're all in this together, believe it or not!
And so, as Love connects us all, in this church we know that there are times when we can't teach anybody anything, but we can and do our best to always love them!

WHAT IS IN A DATE?
Martine heard John give a presentation titled "Open Heart Surgery" ... telling how single people need to open their bloodied, battered and bruised hearts, even if it feels like surgery, if they ever hope to find love, or at least that next relationship in their life. This occurred on August 5th, 1991.
John and Martine were later married on August 5th, 1995, because they each opened their hearts to one another, in friendship, companionship and love.
Their Mystical Spiritualist Church had its first service on August 5th, 2001 in Costa Mesa, California.
This same church, with new supporters, was relocated to Arizona; having its first service on August 5th, 2007.
Is this a synchronicity of love ... or what?
