ABOUT US

Originally formed out of a Traditional Modern Spiritualist Church in Southern California by 5 Spiritualists, this church has existed since 2001. Later in 2006, two of our founders moved from California to Arizona. Four of our California supporters came to Arizona the following year to convince John & Martine Kohlenberger to start the church in Arizona and our first website came online in 2007. Since, then our attendance base shifted from California to Arizona with attendance peaking at over 30, in California and again in Arizona. Our attendance has dwindled during COVID, but we keep our light on for those who are attracted to it. Scroll down for more "history" of our current church, to be found below.

We’re forward looking, exploring what life is all about, how it works, and what's around the corner, while having fun doing it, engaging with life with joy, learning how to dance with life, knowing that everything, my dear friends, is connected energetically, always and forever more, so that all of us together "are One in God”. As we value Love, the Beauties and Energies of Nature, Freedom, Meditation, and Prayer all of which transcend us beyond time and space, we have been called a "Transcendental Spirituality" movement. We Explore and find Inspiration in Religions, Philosophies, Metaphysics, Life, Light, and Love, as we still honor the Physical and the Sciences. Life is One!

During recent times we’ve all been aware of the fear, disagreements, and strife in our nation and world.This is a time of upheaval brought about, by us, to bring about needed changes for the betterment of all humanity, inspired by the ever-loving Spirit or Soul of Humanity. These are conditions for change in the direction of our civilization! This means that things will get better. The unknowingness and uncertainty of darkness is where the seeds of light, life, love, and awareness are birthed, from the unseen potential energies hidden in the Unknown Love of God. Shining our light in the darkness always reveals new joys in the value and abundance of love in life.It is time to emerge from our past of fear within our darkness and realize our desire for the light of love, respect and compassion, given and received. It is time to leave the Piscean Age and come into the Aquarian 5th Dimension of Loving our selves, our neighbors, all of humankind (even the unlovable), and our beautiful, bountiful planet Earth, and beyond.All form is created with, for, and of the energy of love with the awareness of divine spirit. Much of how this works is now being revealed through our newly discovered potentia of All-That-Is in the Quantum fields of possibility.Life is a process of Continuous Creation and Discovery of more Love. You, my friends, are capable of feeling energy. Energy does not die, energy continues on forevermore and you in your ever-loving soul are energy. You in your essence are the energy of love. Love does not disappear or dissipate. It only grows. Look inside yourself and discover that you don’t have to work yourself to pieces, but instead you can work yourself to peace and for peace and live in peace.

You are capable of guiding your own spiritual path from the inside out and don't need to be told what to do. You naturally have the ability, capacity, tools and skills to guide and direct your life meaningfully, ethically and effectively. Through the use of your fundamental human faculties such as critical thinking, empathy, reason, conscience and intuition, you can capably lead your life. You have the choice to cultivate a spirituality that doesn’t require you to be inadequate, powerless, weak, and lacking, but one that empowers you toward strength, vitality, wholeness, and the fulfillment of your highest potentialities and possibilities. You are each on your own divine path to discover the God Within YOU that is All-That-IS. ... described posthumously by Rev. Martine Kohlenberger as, “That light that permeates all things.” In all ofCreation THERE IS NO SEPARATION because there is no separation in its Sourceness so the Sourceness within each human, each creature, everything you would term non-living within the earth, and earth herself is The Greater Reality, which is One. In Christian terms this means. "I am in the father and He is in me." because, "We are One in God." In Scientific terms this means that anything and everything is quantumly entangled! Yes, even the pathways within your amazing brain.

HISTORY

THIS IS A CHURCH OF EVOLUTION & TRANSFORMATION

Creation is on-going. Creator and Creation exist above and beyond our perceived limits of space and time.

In Y2K (Year 2000) Ethel Rowe, who was the founder of the Mystical United Spiritualist Church of Anaheim, California, passed on at 89- years-old. A group of 4 regular ministers and supporters, many who were themselves "psychic" or "channelers", became disenchanted with Ethel's new (very old fashioned) formally trained replacement and began talking of starting a "better", more progressive church. This group included Little John, Diane, Karin, Martine, and Big John. We began meeting regularly to put together a new, more spiritual, less dogmatic church. During this time Big John (Kohlenberger) visited a gifted English medium at Harmony Grove Spiritualist Camp, California. This medium, Chris, told John, "Build it and they will come." We did and they did! Together, we put together a set of Bylaws and an Article of Incorporation over the next, approximately two years, incorporated as a California state non-profit corporation and became an IRS approved Not for profit 501 (c) 3 organization in June and July 2001. Our first church service at Visions and Dreams in Costa Mesa California, was August 5th, 2001. We held weekly church Inspirational and Healing services there until early 2007. THE SHIFT BEGINS

In June 2006, John and Martine Kohlenberger had moved to Prescott Valley, Arizona. Without these two founders the church and its leaders in California had trouble keeping the church going so some of the California ministers and supporters came to Arizona not quite a year later pleading, "You've got to start the church in Arizona!"

Thus the Arizona version of this church was born and our first website started to take shape with the husband-wife team leading it. John, like the "father" of this church) played old fashioned church songs on his keyboard as people sang along with a song book of 42 songs. John also gave weekly inspirations while Martine (like the "mother" of this church) provided inspiring meditations and arranged for refreshments after the services. Our first meeting in Arizona was in John and Martine's living room in Stoneridge at Prescott Valley, August 5th, 2007, 10 AM. Debby Taylor, who would later be ordained in this church, was at that first service inn Arizona. (See large photo, near the top of this page.)

We consequently met at various (rented space) locations in the Prescott Valley, and later the Prescott, areas of north-central Arizona. Over time our services "morphed" and changed, bringing in guest speakers on occasion, including recorded music with or without John's keyboard, changing the words to some of the old songs, and slowly lightening up our attitudes from many of the old, dark, sin and retribution of the older Christian based religious traditions. In the last few years of rev. Martine's life, after hearing the Dr. Peebles personality recommend that we all "Go your ways in peace, light, and harmony as you Enjoy the journey to your own heart, and certainly to your own enlightenment, as you simply to Lighten up just a little bit more" as he was being channeled through Summer Bacon, she took those words to her heart before passing on to the other side, or as I like to say, "To her next Grandest Adventure" on January 30, 2013.

DEATH & TRANSFORMATION

Rev. John Kohlenberger's journey, Above and Beyond

Believing that 2012 was a special year for "transformation", Rev. Martine made her transition above and beyond her earthly life in January 2013. She had just turned 68-years-old. During her last 4 months, moving between various Phoenix hospitals Rev. John was expanding his awareness to include many larger perspectives of life, death, and existence. Martine, at this point, was his main teacher and guide while still upon this earth. On his last visit, though in a coma she opened her eyes as family entered the room, and he could feel her soul energy watching from up in the corner of the room with a spider web thin "silver cord" still attached to her body. He knew she was "on her way." The following message is (channeled) about Martine, the “Mother” of this church, as she was passing on to her Next Greatest Adventure and Awareness:She says that “God is that light that permeates all things where she is and she’s aware of the closeness of this presence around her, like the guiding presence of a father. And it’s everywhere. Its light permeates through everything and there is a sense of never being alone; never being lonely. You can be on your own if you wish to be, but you’re always feeling very connected. Sometimes, she says, that doesn’t always happen in the physical world.” - You can read more in, "It’s All about Love", 2nd edition, by John M. Kohlenberger, year 2020 (p 173) WE ARE ALWAYS CONNECTED WITH GOD AND ALL-THAT-IS, FALLING IN LOVE WITH LIFE and Self as part of All Life, Light, Love, Learning, and Laughter.

The following was communicated through a channeling to Rev. John K in Feb 2014 as he was LEARNING so much about Life, Freedom, and Love, and that these are All Transcendental, as every one transcends both time and space. Life is the movement of energy, divine soul r, murch more than what meets the eye or is just physical! So, much of what this church is about is the introduction on the concepts of the practical application of the Transcendental Divine Energy of Love as it may be applied to earthly things, people, and situations.Martine: “Don't you realize and remember that our relationship transcended time and space, even before we met? And even as we lived upon the earth, that transcended time and space, too. We didn't have to say everything to each other, for we knew it in our hearts. We've been relating this way for a very long time. And the absence of the physical is in and of itself an illusion, for you even feel me there with you at night. This is the Love Eternal ... Everlasting." A NOTE from Rev. John K: I have had multiple "weird" physical experiences and photos indicating that Martine is still alive and still assisting with my life and this church from “The Other Side.” Our souls are divine energy originating from beyond space and time. Our souls are real and cannot be created nor destroyed by any human means. Thus our souls continue to exist beyond what we call "death" ... with awareness and license to act on that awareness and become anything they can imagine ... just for the joy of "being" a portion of Creator/God & All-That-IS. In this way God experiences "Self" and "God knows if a sparrow falls." So be kind and lighten up a little more, on self and others.

Marriage is very interesting in terms of the energetics of it. “What God has put together, no man can put asunder”

This means that if it is truly what God has put together it was never apart in the first place, So the marriage is really an acknowledgment of that which is already together, which has been always, and forevermore. It is an acknowledgement that the two are one, they are themselves; that they have married themselves, you see. That’s the ultimate marriage, really, finding yourself in another person, realizing that that is you and it is very symbolic act and a beautiful thing once you understand the breadth and depth of it. It’s not just a ceremony and a piece of paper and to be able to buy a house together.

A parting thought to ... JUST REMEMBER:

Though we find it such fun to explore intellectually, to delve into the things we explore about our inner worlds and outer worlds, so that it expands our understanding of consciousness and perhaps gives us a different view of our world and its people, we strive to always bring it back to the greater reality which is simply LOVE in the NOW. (where the letters of "LOVE" stand for "Letting Our Vitalities Engage) On-going Creation is always in the HERE & NOW, motivated by LOVE, for that is the nature of God, Source, and All Creation. We believe that is the true nature of Who WE (You & Me) Are so whatever story you like, it must always relate to and come back to the Here and the Now. Then we want to remind ourselves that no matter how it seems We are each Perfect and Eternal Expressions of Source who have come forth to experience what it is to Be “Human” and when our experience is finished, we each go Home to an Expanded Consciousness, Universal Consciousness in your terms, and in that place there is only LOVE because THAT IS THE TRUTH OF WHO YOU TRULY ARE AND ALL THERE REALLY IS. - Inspired by P'taah Lightsource
