As a young boy John's father told him, "You never stop learning until the day you die." Over half a century ago John wondered, “Is there more to life than what I am experiencing here and now?” The answer to this quest will set you FREE, on new paths of wonder! John now believes that "The experiencing and learning never ends, not even in what we call :Death." John's father also told him that he can only love a person, but not a thing., but John has since determined that as God is in everything, or Love, one may never stop loving, and we can in a sense, though possibly not as a human, simply "Love it All." In the end there’s only love. This website is his personal answer, (at the bottom of this page) a testament to his quest ... as a student/teacher of The Divine Living on Planet Earth.

WHY THIS WEBSITE? After Revs. John and Martine Kohlenberger moved to Arizona in 2006, the original 2007 Website was started because several of our California congregation members came to Arizona and pleaded for and then planned what this new incarnation of this church should be like. The creation, growth, and evolution of this living church has continued over time, becoming less and less traditional because we value the still small voices of the divine sparks in our ever-loving hearts to guide us spiritually. All too often in our world people have had and taught what might be termed misunderstandings or misconceptions of the Holy Spirit, or God Force, of what it is and where it is moving. This Living Spirit is alive in all things seen, unseen, past, present, and future. It is ever Creative, Light, Life, Inspiration, Truth, and Loving. Let us joyfully give Thanks! As a descendant of Creator, you are as an emissary of the way, the truth, and you are the light, as an expression of God’s Love. Awaken your heart and reconnect your nervous system, your human emotional body. It is your energy, through your auric field, that is going to be the energy that heals the world because you are all interconnected. Pray in gratitude to keep your beautiful body on the earth with its radiant soul until your days are done.

Through this site I strive to focus on what is of benefit to the planet and to the people, ALL people.

SOME HISTORY AND BACKGROUND

Let us begin the story of the formation of our webmaster and this church in 1890. Pictured is (webmaster) John's grandfather's "German Methodist Episcopalian" church in Santa Cruz, California. The photio below shows the important people in the church. The man on the right is Rev. John William Kohlenberger. Around the year 2000, cousin Bob Kohlenberger found the building still in use as a Yoga Studio. The grandfather of our founder, John, later moved to Anaheim California to open a church there, in a triangle of land east of La Palma Park. Due to increased traffic and street widening, neither the church nor the property exist in Anaheim today.

The Mystical Spiritualist Church is Not my Grandfather's Church

A NOTE from John M, Kohlenberger, our founder: My own father was a doctor, physician (GP/PCP), a surgeon, and a scientist. As the son of a minister, he would often point out the spiritual nature of Nature itself. I have to thank him for that. I grew up in the Presbyterian church, serving as candle lighter and later "the youngest member of the choir" and church at age 11, as a baritone. I was married at age 21. Though my mother had earlier declared me as "a good Christian boy", around age 30 I was inspired by life, from things I was reading (like from Edgar Cayce), feeling, and thinking, to "investigate the mystical/parapsychological side of life, to see if there was any "reality" to ghosts, psychic information, and/or mediums. Almost immediately, I discovered the Ancient Order of the Rosicrucians (AMORC) along with Edgar Cayce, the "sleeping medium" and the Association for Research and enlightenment (ARE). As it turned out, our founder, ARE enabled me to make the transition from seeing only the religious man that Jesus was, but also to discover the mystic that he was. At age 33, while meditating, I heard the words and saw the letters spelling out: GOD IS Alive and hiding in Eachoneofus! Where is that? What does it mean? It took me months to decipher this message. The souls within us contain the light and likeness of our Creator/God, of The Source of All-That-IS, ISN'T, WAS, or EVER SHALL BE!

Several decades later, after meeting the lady that would become my French wife, we devided to go "church shopping." We seemed to gravitate towards Spiritualist churches, eventually settling in th Mystical United Spiritualist Church in Anaheim, CA, headed by Ethel and Jack Rowe. Eventually Ethel invited me (John) to become a regular speaker, minister, and official of that church. Upon her death, politics seemed to come into play so I and four others decided to form our own spiritually based church, The Mystical Spiritualist Church, Inc. in 2001. Below is a newspaper article from 2003 telling of the Webmaster and some founders of this church.

Personal Origins for this Church and Websight

Some of the last words my dearly departed wife heard as she was about to depart this world were, “I love you no matter what.” This was a step in my quest, since about 4 years of age, to find out what “Unconditional Love” is. At age 4 I heard our minister, Dr. Hunter, try to explain this transcendental energy called Love in many different ways. As far as I was concerned, to no avail. Why? He was in his head, not his heart. I now think I came to this life with this question while being in a physical body in a material world. I now feel that there are many answers to be revealed in the many dimensions of reality including our current human condition.

THE ARIZONA CONNECTION & Beyond ...

In 2005 John & Martine's Massage and Spa, Therepeutic Dimensions and Above and Beyond were closing, getting ready to move to the mountains of Arizona, in the Prescott area. The move occurred in June 2006. In May 2007 four members of the California church came to Arizona, pleading to John & Martine, "You must open the church in Arizona and start a website." Thus, this church continues in Arizona, where our focus is on helping church goers to not only light candles, but to light their own candle with the awareness of the Divine Life Force that is in All things, everywhere and every when, and that:

P.S. I'm making these mystical and/or spiritual things more tangible, for people to see how universal reality operates and how it works in their lives. It does not have to be some sort of, shall we say, esoteric thing that they can’t touch. They can touch it. They touch it by the very fact that they take a deep breath. That in itself is spiritual, you see. So that’s the sort of thing we’re bringing together here and that’s also the sort of thing brought you here now. This site is about life, health, and the spiritual reasons for everything here, manifesting in the physical, you see.
